What is the pathway to freedom? How do you get free from your old struggles? How do you see the battle more clearly?
Review these five questions.
1. Are you living Oblivious? Or have you started to understand there is a connection between your current thoughts and actions and past sad experiences.
2. Are you taking Ownership? Your life is one long story. For health and wholeness, you must revisit the most painful parts of your past. That is where your destructive self-belief is buried.
3. Will you let Fear stop you? Fear warns you. It screams. “Don’t go inside yourself. It will make you sad. It’s the past. Leave it alone. You don’t need any more sadness. Look the other way. Just ignore it.” Instead of listening you push forward.
4. Will you get lost in the Chaos and Disorder? Memories have faded and only fragments of stories exist. How do you make sense of the painful stories? Then you start to notice there is one underlying painful theme developing. You push forward. Then it hits you. It’s your old, uncomfortable, childhood belief you created it long ago. At the time it was your best childhood thinking. You summarized all sad life experiences into this one self-destructive belief: “I am not good. I am bad.”
5. Do you see the Problem? Your whole emotional system is frozen. The adult part of you can’t move forward. Forgotten, buried and driving everything today is this old view of self. “I am not good. I am bad.”
Growth
This self-destructive false belief you concluded as a child is blocking your adult happiness. Today, you must shift into starting to receive God’s belief about your worthiness.
Prayer
Abba, Jesus, Holy Guide, help me trade my old unworthy belief for your chosen and deeply loved belief. Amen.
