A friend and I were discussing marriage. He said, “I like coming home and knowing my wife is there.” He continued, “It makes me feel calm and less anxious about things.” He closed by saying, “Having a wife Is very comforting.”
What a wonderful insight! He was expressing one of the benefits of being married. My thinking jumped ahead. We don’t often tell our wife “thank you for being in my life.” So, today we make that declaration:
Talk to your wife and Tell Her
Thank you for being in my life.
Thank you for being my friend.
My life is so much better with you in it.
Yes, we have our differences.
And, yes, there are times of conflict.
But, my life is so much richer and deeper because of you.
Thank you for loving me.
Thank you for taking a chance on me.
I need your love.
I love your love.
You have a beautiful heart.
And, I see Jesus at work in you.
Prayer
Father, thank you that you love me. And thank you for my beautiful wife. I know she is your daughter because she has your heart. She loves to love. Her heart gives, sacrifices, and deeply cares for others. Father, you bless me and she blesses me. Thank you and Amen.
Bible Connection

It was once, and I hope and pray it will be again. My wife is still struggling with the reality of my sin against her. Broken vows, years of lies.
I used to look forward to coming home. I used to feel this way. Now most days I don’t look forward to going in the door. I know what awaits me and it is painful.
But I trust that God is working in me, and hopefully in her.
Thank you for sharing. I hear the sadness. My heart hurts also. Be the visionary. Be patient. Keep growing. Stay close to the One who heals.
AMEN! I echo these feelings towards my wonderful wife Shelley!
