I was sitting in Sunday school class and trying to describe the work I love. I know what I do as a mentor. But, what work do I really love? And, what work thrills my soul?

Here is my best answer. I love three fields of study.

• I love emotions
• I love God
• And, I love relationship interactions.

Allow me to be even more specific. I love the intersection where (A) my emotional program interacts with (B) God’s spirit and all that occurs with a spouse (C) in a marriage relationship.

To me, that intersection is packed with fun. And guess what, that is exactly where you are doing your work.

You are paying attention to your own beliefs, fears, and actions. (Your emotional system). You are asking God to help shape you into the image of his Son. And, you are doing that work while sharing and growing with your wife.

Good job, it’s not easy work. But, the payoff is eternal.
