I’m wrestling with three concepts—and how they work together: Emotional Growth Mission, Self-Awareness, and Blind Spots
Emotional Growth Mission is the decision to own your underdeveloped emotional patterns—your reactions, your thinking, your habits—and bring them into alignment with Heaven’s way of living.
Self-Awareness is where that mission begins. It’s slowing down long enough to actually look at yourself. What am I thinking? Why did I respond that way? What belief is driving my behavior? Is this aligned with Heaven’s teachings?
Then there are Blind Spots.
Let’s define it simply: You know something… but you don’t want to know it. It’s there. You know it. You experience it. But you avoid it. And when someone else brings it up—
You push back. You get irritated.
You withdraw. You punish with silence or anger.
Because blind spots are often old, immature, behaviors that still live inside mature Christians.
Close-
Your Emotional Growth Mission requires honesty. Self-Awareness requires growth. Blind Spots hate change.
Prayer-
Father, expose the blind spots I protect—and give me the humility to face them. Align my thinking, my reactions, and my heart with Your truth. Help me grow. Amen
Scripture-
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Psalm 139:23–24 (NIV)
