You have two big assignments in life.
Assignment #1
- Study your emotional system.
- Learn the broken places.
- Use great emotional and spiritual tools for healing.
- Run an emotional system that reflects God’s design.
- Jesus teaches us to run our systems on peace, rest, and joy.
- Fight to hold your peace, rest, and joy.
- Remember every day there are forces at work whose sole mission is to steal your peace, rest, and joy.
Assignment #2
- Enter a spiritual dimension.
- Ask Jesus to be your Savior and teacher.
- Learn important insights and teachings from the Bible.
- Wake up and go to bed in one long dialogue with Abba.
- Share every thought, question, and struggle with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Watch and listen to see where God is working. Then join him in that work.
- When your emotional system acts up, ask the heavenly designer to help you make healing adjustments.
Prayer
Father, help me run my emotional system and spiritual systems in harmony. Help me be whole and one as you are one. I need your help running my emotional system. Please bless me with wisdom and insights. Help me walk in overwhelming peace, rest, and joy in your presence today. Amen.

I wish I had heard (and more importantly, understood!) this when I was a younger man.

Learn the broken places?
I had no concept whatsoever of these until this past year, and even that was theoretical knowledge that I may or may not have an emotional system that may or may not be broken.
Present me just years for younger me to have understood this all sooner.
