A brother recently shared this insight.
When I was a young man sexual arousal was the spark that drove my life. That spark included selfish thoughts and it led me to some bad behaviors. My sexuality was good at delivering pleasure but it could never deliver happiness. Additionally, let me say, I knew God. But, at that time pursuing God came in a distant second place.
This brother continued.
Now that I am an older man, the drivers have switched. The major spark in my life is the “Pursuit of God.”
I love God. And, I love discovering the things of God. These days, some of my greatest joy comes from being in the presence of God.
He concluded.
Now, I start each morning greeting God and feeling joyful to spend the day with Him.
And, I end my day with a heart of gratitude and lips that offer a prayer of thanksgiving.
