The DETACHED-SELF-CONTAINED type person.

The MOVE-TOWARDS-YOU person,

• Asks questions
• Shows interest
• Sees you as interesting
• Remembers things you said
• Builds a relationship–one conversation upon another.
• Is glad to see you
• Wants to spend time with you
• Enjoys people

The DETACHED-SELF-CONTAINED person,

• Is pleasant
• Does “small talk”
• Acts friendly
• Does not create a rhythm of back and forth
• Makes every encounter seem like a first-time meeting
• Lacks emotional depth
• Is not that interested in your life
• Doesn’t build long-term bonds
• Enjoys things more than people
• Usually has a history of trauma

Closing

We are made for fellowship, union, and oneness. We are better in relationships. God calls us to oneness.

Prayer

Father, help me grow in oneness. Help me grow deeper in my relationships. Heal me. Grow me. Teach me. Help me love deeply. Help me love like Jesus. Amen.
