What kind of heart do you want to run?
A heart of regret and condemnation?
Or a heart of love and acceptance?
Your heart knows both.
Your heart remembers being blamed and shamed. Your heart also remembers times of sweet, restful love.
What kind of heart do you want to run? You’ve been loved. And, you’ve also been neglected.
Your heart wants to replay the old messages.
- “Loser.”
- “Failure.”
- “Not enough.”
The Holy Spirit, who lives within you, whispers a different word.
“Forgiven.”
Your heart hears it… and becomes still. Rest settles in.
Then the Holy Spirit continues…
- Chosen.
- Redeemed.
- Transformed.
- Made new.
Your heart is soothed.
It loves these words.
Rest grows deeper.
The Holy Spirit provides an alternative message.
The question is this-
Will you run shame and blame again, today?
Or will you run on the truth of who you are in Christ?
Prayer
Father, today I choose to run a heart that agrees with what You say about me. Help my heart become a place where Your peace rules and Your love rests. Amen
