I have a confession to make. I believed that if I worked hard enough, and you were pleased with me, you would see me as valuable. And if you saw value in me, then I would have finally proven that I have value.

I’ve carried that belief since I was very young.

After thousands of hours of serving, I’ve come to some conclusions:

• Service is satisfying… and exhausting.
• It never fixes your inner belief of low value.
• People like having you around because you’re a good service grunt.
• But serving others does not heal the struggle of not liking yourself.
• And unless you face that inner battle, you will live, and die, believing you have low value.

The Solution

Go sit in the presence of your Maker. And ask Him about your value.

Abba says, “I will provide the sacrifice so you can be with Me.”

Jesus says, “I am going to prepare a place for you.”

The Holy Spirit says, “I have been assigned to be your Counselor, Guide, and Helper.”

And remember your name is written in the Book of Life.

Conclusion-

God loves me. He says I have value.

He chose me, forgave me, and redeemed me. I agree with God—I have heavenly value.

So it’s okay if you don’t like me.

Abba, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit love me.

Prayer-

Father, thank You for Your radical, endless, transforming love. Today, I receive that I am loved and I have value. Amen.
