Here are a few comments rolled into one story. These are all related to being loved well.
Ever since childhood I have wanted to be loved well. I am such an emotional being. And, being loved well makes life so much better.
My mom struggled with her own life and she struggled to love me. Dad worked and tried to keep things going, but he was always busy. So from the beginning, I have never felt loved well.
I’ve heard one’s heart is defined as the place for two feelings. It’s the place where you desire strong relationship connections. And it’s the place of passionate love.
What does my heart want?
It wants rich relationship love.
It wants encouragement and great passion.
My heart wants those things every day.
What do I want from my close relationships?
I want to be sought out and pursued.
I want to be enthusiastically enjoyed.
And when I’m feeling down I want to be comforted.
What does my heart hate?
I hate feeling ignored.
I hate feeling like I have little worth.
I especially hate being told “you are a failure.”
I want to matter.
I don’t want to be the kid who is always left out.
So, let me summarize.
I want to be pursued, loved, and enjoyed every single day.
I want to be loved very well.
My oldest desire is this. I want to be loved well.
Prayer
Father, thank you for your love. Thank for Jesus and his teachings. He spoke of sacrificial love. Then, he lived that way. He deeply loved many people. Jesus loved well. I am made in your image. Help me love well. Help me live like Jesus with a full heart of love. And, help me live on your love. Help me love well. Amen.
Bible
God loved you so much he wanted to be together with you. But, a sacrifice was required. Jesus was that sacrifice. Also, he loves you so much he wants to share eternity with you. Abba loves you very well.
