My Dear Husband,
I want to be loved really well. I have one husband and one marriage. I want my relationship to be great. I know you work hard and get tired, and the world is full of distractions. There is always something pulling on you or me. Through it all, please remember, I want to be loved really well.
That means great interactions and dialogue. Life is full of small joys and big heartaches. I want us working through difficult issues together. And, I want us rejoicing together. I want a great marriage.
Life is full of fears, doubts, and challenges. We’ve had struggles. Problems have been thrust upon us and we have survived. We have faced large challenges and have overcome. We made it this far. I do not want to settle. Let’s grow further and deeper together.
I see other couples existing, tolerating one another, arguing, and living divided. That’s not what I want. I want a great relationship. And I want it with you. You are my husband. There’s only one of you and one me. I do not want to settle, exist, or coexist. Just getting along is not acceptable. I want to love you well and be well loved.
I want a great friendship and relationship. I will work on my part. I need you to work on your part. I want us to be close. And, I mean, really close. Bonding, unity, and oneness will heal and protect us both. It is the sacred place of oneness I seek.
At times I need your comfort, other times I need your support. Sometimes I need you just to stand with me. I always need your encouragement. and I love it when we work together. Growth, either yours or mine, gives me hope. So please keep growing, and I will do the same.
You are my husband. I need you actively involved in this relationship. My vision is for us to have a great marriage. With God’s help all things are possible.
Signed, Your loving wife
Husband‘s prayer
Father, I need your help. I need wisdom and strength. But mostly, I need a vision that challenges my soul. Can you help me? I need to grow closer to my wife. I need to learn to be her helper. I need to learn to lay down parts of my life for her. Father, you gave me this assignment. Please help me do an excellent job of loving my wife. I love you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And I love my wife. Amen.
Meditate on this
Husbands, love your wives [with an affectionate, sympathetic, selfless love that always seeks the best for them] and do not be embittered or resentful toward them [because of the responsibilities of marriage].
