Do you know who you are?
Better yet—do you know whose you are?
I know who I am.
I am a child of God.
I know who I am.
I am chosen.
I know who I am.
I am God’s beloved son.
I know who I am.
I am a mess – and I am forgiven.
I know who I am.
I am being made new each day by Jesus.
I know who I am.
I am one with Abba, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
I know who I am.
I am found worthy in Christ.
I know who I am.
I was once a sinner, but I have been bought, redeemed, and given a new name.
My flesh is still imperfect.
My spirit almost always longs for goodness and truth— but sometimes it does not.
That’s when I fail.
But even then, I know who I am.
Each day I seek to bring every part of myself into submission.
Most days, I do.
And on the days I don’t—I still know who I am.
I am in Christ.
I walk with the Holy Spirit.
And Abba sent Jesus to reveal my value and my worth.
Close:
I know who I am.
I am who Abba says I am.
Prayer:
Abba, I have spoken harsh and untrue things about myself. I want to believe what You say about me. Help me keep growing into Your beautiful truth about who I am. Amen.
Scripture :
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”
1 John 3:1 (NIV)
