Craig Groeschel, senior pastor of Life.Church, was asked this question: “Where is God leading you and the church?” He responded, “The church is being called to greater authenticity.”
God wants to work on your weak areas. He wants to transform you in those areas for his glory. Today you’re being asked. What is an emotionally weak area in your life?
- Is it facing a fear?
- Excessive worry?
- Tired of trying to make people like you?
- Are you struggling with feeling unloved?
- Feeling disconnected?
- Is anger ruling your life?
- Feeling lonely?
- Sick of being a pleaser.
- Lost your direction?
- Tired of feeling…finish the sentence.
Where is God WORking?
You know your old struggles. God may be asking if he can be Lord of that place. And will you invite him to help you grow?
Are you willing to be authentic about your struggle? Will you own it? Pray about it? Verbalize it to another person? Will you ask someone to help you work on it? Will you read up on your weak area so you can learn and grow. And will you make that the focus of your growth for the next year?
Will you bring it to the light? Will you let Jesus transform you in that weak area? Will you believe healing is part of Gods heart?
Don’t lose sight of the Gospel
Jesus came to set you free. Will you let the Holy Spirit be your teacher, guide, and counselor? And, will you make transformation part of your authentic testimony?
Prayer
Father, help my life be an honest reflection of your ability to change hearts, minds, and wills. Make me whole and free in Christ. Let that which has controlled me fall away. And may my life and growth bring you glory. Amen.
Bible Connection
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. – Philippians 3:20-21 (NIV)
If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. – 1 John 1:6-7 (NASB)
