What is a struggle where you engaged Jesus and found healing? In what personal emotional area have you experienced freedom? It’s common to hear someone who’s has been deeply affected say, “Going through that challenge changed me!”
Through your past struggle, the growth you experienced and the freedom you found are the foundation of your ministry. The Church is full of hurting people, and His Church is also full of ministers. Today you are reminded you are an ordained lay minister with a specialty.
- If you have battled through anger, you can minister to a man learning healthier ways to express disappointment.
- If you have walked through lots of losses in your life, you are a minister for the grieving.
- If you have looked inside and put your emotional house in order, you are a minster to those starting to explore inner turmoil.
- If you have experienced lots of sickness you are a minister to the ill and suffering.
- If you have battled through an addiction, you are a minister to those journeying to recovery.
Conclusion
Many of us have been healed, changed, and made new. You are now in the place where God’s Holy Spirit and your Spirit work together in ministry.
Prayer
Father, help me express my love of Jesus through ministry to other men. Amen.
