Who is the target group for these blogs?
These posts are for men and their wives, centering on the following situations:
First, these blogs are written for married men whose wives have made statements like these:
- I want you to TALK to me.
- Don’t you want to know my heart?
- We live more like roommates.
- I want you to KNOW ME.
- You live in your world and I live in mine.
- I feel so lonely in this marriage.
Second, these are for men coming out of an addiction. Addicts have great escaping, surviving, and coping skills, but they have poor emotional connecting skills.
Third, these are written for men who’ve had weak emotional training. Maybe, their parents stayed together but they lived with a weak emotional connection. So, these men had no good role models.
What about You?
The truth is, everyone should be working toward growth. This includes spiritual, emotional, and physical growth. We write these blogs to strengthen men, grow stronger marital connections, and bless wives.
Prayer
Father, thank you that you love oneness. And you designed marriages for oneness. Emotional connecting is one path to oneness with my spouse. Help, me Father. Please, grow my skills for better connecting and deeper love. Amen.
Bible Connection
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2 (NIV)
