At church Sunday the pastor said, “The Bible has a lot to say about money. Being wise with money is a big part of being spiritually mature.”
My mind did its usual thing. It made a quick jump to my favorite topic. We are emotional beings. But I’ve never heard a minister stand up and say, “We are emotional beings, and the Bible has lots to say about running your emotional system.”
God is the God of order. Meaning there is design to your body. We know God designed emotions into the operation of your body.
Because emotions can be difficult to understand and manage, the Father gave you the gift of the Holy Spirit. That Spirit resides in you.
The Holy Spirit is given many names. They include counselor, teacher, guide, advocate, and comforter. I would say that just about covers all your emotions needs.
Guided Prayer
Father, Please give me wisdom. And help me to walk hand-in-hand with the Holy Spirit especially in the area of emotions. You knew I would need emotional help, so you sent the Holy Spirit. Please bless me and teach me how to run a peaceful emotional system. Amen.
