Letting someone down is the worst feeling. It’s failure. It reminds me of being a disappointment. I hate failing and letting others down. That’s when I send myself to the pit.
Here is what happens in the pit:
- I do negative self talk.
 - Swirl in negativity.
 - See the worst in myself.
 - I become self absorbed.
 - Repeat- I deserve to be punished.
 - Believe- I should be treated badly.
 - Remind myself that I always fail and end up in the pit.
 - Remember how it feels to be neglected.
 - Feel the pain of being forgotten.
 - I’ve never had a voice except one for self condemnation.
 - Repeating I am a screw up is always hard to hear.
 - I hate failing and remembering I am just a big mistake.

Summary
I hate it when I fail and send myself to the pit.
Prayer
Father, through my eyes the pain of failing is overwhelming. I zone out and wade into the pit. Help me be transformed into your spiritual truths. Help me see myself through your eyes. I am chosen, forgiven, and redeemed. Amen.
