A wife will often try to teach her husband about better connecting.
She will say big-picture things like;
- Learn me
- Engage me
- Know me
- Love what I love, and
- Get excited about what excites me.
She will show her husband the connecting pathway. Saying, when Heaven blesses me and my heart is thrilled pleas:
- Enter the moment.
- Celebrate with me and get excited.
- Be positive.
- Join in my joy.
She will use thrilled-statements to invite you into her excitement:
- “Guess what I just learned.”
- “This is so cool!”
- “Look what I found.”
- “This is exactly what I love!”
- “I love this thought!”
She continues, “Dear Husband, when you connect with me in a special moment
- It makes me feel important.
- I feel loved and valued.
- I get excited and energized.
- I feel connected when you join me, and
- Joy fills my soul.
Dearest Husband, when you join me emotionally, my love soars. But, if you ignore precious moments my relationship hope diminishes.
Husband’s Prayer
Father, please help me with emotional growth. I know you are great at expressing love. I need help in two areas: I struggle to express myself on an emotional level. And, now my wife wants me to join her in her thrilling, ah-ha, emotional moments. Help. Please. I need you, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Bible Connection
Read Ephesians 5:25-33. Consider what it means:
“Husbands love your wives.” “Husbands ought to love their wives.” and “Each one of you must love his wife as he loves himself.”
