Here is a collection of comments by people in pain. Do any describe you? If you answer yes, you may want to discuss it with your spouse and/or God today.
- I’m tired of feeling alone and lonely.
- I’m tired of rejection and tired of not being seen.
- It’s exhausting to give and give and give. When do I receive?
- I take care of others. Who is taking care of me?
- People make lists for important things. When do I get on the important people list?
- I don’t think my spouse ever learned to nurture. Now I want to be nurtured, and they are not capable.
- I give till I’m tired. Then I give some more.
- I give even when I’m exhausted and have nothing more to give.
- I have hope even when things seem hopeless. I try to never lose hope.
- I’m a Caretaker, but some days I want to be the one that receives care.
- I want someone to stop and sacrifice for me.
- The loneliest kind of lonely is being in a relationship and feeling all alone.
Prayer
Father, there is pain all around me. And there’s pain in my soul. I make you Lord of my pain. I look to you for comfort and support. Thank you for Jesus and the Holy Spirit. They are my comfort. Amen.
Bible
