Homework assignment for today.
When someone ATTACKS you, immediately and quietly repeat these words three times.
“The God in me is bigger than the fear in you.”
When someone CRITICIZES you, repeat.
“The God in me is bigger than the fear in you.”
When someone INSULTS you, repeat.
“The God in me is bigger than the fear in you.”
When someone LAUGHS at you, repeat.
“The God in me is bigger than the fear in you.”
When someone calls you STUPID, repeat.
“The God in me is bigger than the fear in you.”
Holding on to your peace and rest is much wiser than jumping into a fight that won’t end well. And, anchoring to God first may bring out a better response from you.
Now, repeat the line ten times, out loud. That way it’s ready to go next time you need it.
Verse
A gentle answer turns away wrath.
Proverbs 15:1a NIV (definition added)
(Wrath is defined as an attack.)
(Note- You may tweak the words a little if some truth is even more powerful.)
