What if you reach the end of your life and these three statements are true?
You know no one.
No one knows you.
You don’t even know yourself.
How sad.
What if you never realized that life is meant to be lived on two levels?
Level One — working, providing, fixing things, paying bills, staying busy.
These are necessary… but they are surface.
Level Two — fears, doubts, shame, old wounds, hopes, and dreams.
This is the deeper life of the soul.
To truly know yourself — and to truly know another — you must learn to live fluently on both levels.
Your mission is to learn:
Learn Abba, Jesus and Holy Spirit
- Learn yourself.
- Learn your spouse.
- Work with a community of men who help each other grow.
What if you reach the end of your life and you do not understanding that old, unhealed pain causes you to avoid daily emotional moments.
And when you avoid your own pain, you cannot connect with the pain of others.
So you live only on the surface — while on the inside you carry frozen places of youthful hurt.
Then:
You know no one.
No one knows you.
You never learn yourself and die.
Close:
Review the mission statement above-
Learn God. Learn self. Learn others.
Prayer:
Father, teach me Your ways. Make me a student who sits at Your feet and learns. Bring healing to my stuck places. Bless me with a life that is deeply lived. Amen.
