What are the steps to emotional health?
Here is a four-step journey toward healing and freedom.
Step One — Learn New Language
Name your inner struggle.
Unworthiness.
Inner torment.
Self-blame.
Living divided — good outside, bad inside.
Feeling trapped.
A brain stuck in survival and coping.
Healing begins when you can say, “This is what’s happening inside me.”
Step Two — Use the Right Tools
Spiritual tools:
Identity in Christ, grace, mercy, forgiveness, faith, hope and prayer
Emotional tools:
Quieting negative self-talk, old traumatic pain released, finding healing, less shame, living less hidden, practicing daily self forgiveness.
Step Three — Old Program → New Program
Leave the program of unworthiness.
Live the program of peace and rest.
Peace is inner calm.
Rest is freedom from trying to earn love.
Step Four — Abiding Joy
Joy grows as we walk daily with Abba, Jesus, and the Spirit.
And, as we love and serve others.
Close:
We are both flesh and spirit.
The mission is to become whole.
This is your holy work.
Prayer:
Father, bring my emotional life into harmony with Your Spirit.
I long for peace, rest, and joy.
Heal me. Lead me. Bless me.
Amen.
Scripture
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
