We are Doctor Marriage ministry. Why do we write these blogs? Here is our thinking.
Every reader has experienced life and has constructed a model for living. Much of that model was developed, tested and refined in early life.
In adulthood that model works successfully 80% of the time. However, it does not work well 20% of the time.
The 20% includes areas of stunted emotional development. Defining it further shows it includes weak skills, bad habits, anger, impulsiveness, not liking yourself, poor connecting skills, being driven by fears etc.
Most people acknowledge they have areas of poor development. Oddly, they often seem powerless to make changes. Staying the same is so much more comfortable.
But what if an individual is ready to change? They need good language, insight, and encouragement.
That is the purpose of these blogs. It is our mission to provide a thought a day to educate, clarify and support growth and change. We like to think our sweet spot is working at the intersection of Christian faith, emotional growth, and relationship development.

Thank you, Father, for this ministry. It exists to honor you and to set those held captive free. Amen.
Bible
For the spirit, God gave us does not make us timid (lacking), but gives us power, love and self-discipline. – 2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

This sounds helpful. Ironically, i’m dealing with feeling of anger, poor connecting skills, and not liking myself very much (to put it mildly) right now.
I had a situation at work that I didn’t handle very well and I’m on that downward spiral.
Is there an option to receive the daily thought via text message instead of email? I would much prefer that.
Thank you.
Thank you William. I hope you are doing better. We don’t have text-message capability at this time. Please hang in there.
