Give thanks. In all things, give thanks. All day long give thanks. As you go through your day today, give thanks.
I walk my neighborhood regularly. It is my morning ritual of giving thanks.
- Thank you, Father, for this beautiful day.
- Thank you for my home and a place to live.
- Thank you for my health and the ability to walk.
Give thanks in all things.
Thank you, Father, for my wife and the people who love me. Thank you for loving me and giving me a place to belong. And thank you for your love.
Give thanks and pray without ceasing.
- Thank you for the challenges of today.
- Thank you for wanting to hear my heart.
- Thank you for letting me tell you everything.
Life is hard. People I love are suffering. I hate the losses in my life. And I’m grieving for my past poor decision making. Thanks for being willing to listen to me.
Close
Give thanks for every little thing. It’s hard to be closed, negative, or full of complains when you are always giving thanks.
Prayer
Father, thank you for Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Thank you for grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Thank you for growing me. Even if all the stretching is hard. I still give you thanks. Amen.
