“I love you!”
What does that mean?
Does it mean, I have learned to overlook your weaknesses?
Does it mean, I really enjoy you three quarters of the time?
Does it mean, I have learned to tolerate you well?
What does, “I love you mean?”
Does it mean, you are sexually enjoyable?
Does it mean, you make me laugh?
Does it mean, I like how you interact with others?
What does, “I love you mean?”
Does it mean, let’s share a house?
Does it mean, let’s have kids together!
Does it mean, let’s grow old together?
What does, “I love you mean?”
Does it mean, if you get sick, I will stay by your side?
Does it mean, If I get bored in this relationship, I will still stay?
Does it mean, if life does not turn out the way I thought it would, I will still be here?”
Or, does it mean something really big? The Bible says there is no greater love than to lay down your life for your friend.
Prayer
Father, I need your love. I need your never ending, flaw covering, soul saving love. I need love that will cover me in life and in death. Thank you for Jesus. Thank you for the love that he demonstrated in his lifetime. May I also have a heart and soul that demonstrates the same love. I love you. Amen.
