A question was recently asked. “How do you see this blog being used?”
Please understand these posts are written by men for the purpose of training men. But, they can be used in any manner that includes talking and connecting.
The hope is this material finds a motivated husband, specifically motivated toward:
- Personal growth
- Better connecting on an emotional level
- Learning more about himself and his wife, emotionally
All this, with the goal of growing in marital oneness.
These ‘thoughts’ are posted Monday through Friday. Some individuals love the posts and faithfully read them daily. Others are so busy they read one or two a week.
If your marriage contains frequent, deep, rich dialogue, then just use these as supplemental material. But, if your relationship contains few of the above dialogues, move to more daily reading of these posts.
Direction for the husband. Please initiate the following steps:
- Discuss and decide the best time to read the blog to your wife. Is it right after supper? Or, just before bed time?
- Read the blog “out loud” to your wife.
- Finally make three comments about the blog. And ask her to do the same.
Please do not use these posts to blame, shame, or point out shortcomings. Rather, see them as seeds that in time will produce a harvest.
Prayer
Father, thank you for these blogs. Thank you for the men who run Doctor Marriage. Please give them and myself wisdom. Help me grow in closeness and understanding of my wife. Amen.
Bible Connection
