About the Author

Stephen L. Cervantes is a Christian, a husband who has worked as a therapist for 30 plus years. He loves two topics: strengthening marriages and training men to be better at emotional connecting. You could say those two topics are his life mission. It breaks his heart when he hears about a couple struggling to connect. Experience has shown, many men are poorly trained in the area of emotional bonding.

Stephen Cervantes is part of the Doctor Marriage team. Doctor Marriage is a team of men and women working together. Their mission is training men to emotionally connect.

About the Posts

Stephen looks for one good emotional thought for each daily blog post. He asks God to guide him and give him wisdom. That one idea might come from a book, a podcast, a conversation, or just rise out of past experiences. The blog post is built around that primary concept.

The hope is that each daily thought:

• Provides emotional words, thoughts, and insight.
• Helps a husband and wife express at least one emotional thoughts.
• Contains material that helps a wife feel heard and hopeful.
• Encourages regular brief moments of deep emotional dialogue.

The draft version goes to the editor, Tim Bergkvist. He edits for content and presentation, makes corrections or clarifications, adds an appropriate title, and then selects accompanying artwork or photography. Tim also takes care of the back-end administration for each post, such as cataloguing and tagging, attribution of quotes and imagery, testing, and dissemination on different platforms.

About the Ministry

There are other people who work behind the scenes by creating artwork, handling bookkeeping, taxes, legal, and administrative work. Some of these people are family and friends who volunteer their time and valuable insight. Some are paid for some or all of their services. Our donors also truly have a heart for this mission and have put their heart into action.
