I saw a romantic sign. It read.

“ALL OF ME LOVES ALL OF YOU!”

It sounded good. But, I got to thinking about that concept. I think it means, I want all of me to love all of you.

How, I wondered? We all have damaged, wounded, traumatized hearts. All of me wants to love God with all of me. But, it’s hard. Part of my heart struggles to trust and love.

All of me doesn’t even love all of me. And, that includes trusting heaven’s love to transform me.
(When I see a couple in conflict it’s really two wounded hearts struggling to connect.)

The good news is God is in the healing business. He wants hearts healed, Opened, and Free. Most of us are still being transformed.

So, if the woman who wrote that romantic sign would allow me to reword it. It might actually go like this.

“All of my 70% healthy heart loves all of your 90% healthy heart–And, be aware that the unhealthy 30% percent of my heart will probably be at odds with your 10% unhealthy heart.”

-Oh well. Probably not a bestselling sign.
